French philosopher Albert Camus wrote that "capital punishment is the most premeditated of murders". "The United States' concept of justifiable homicide/Executions in criminal law stands on the dividing line between an excuse, justification and an exculpation. In other words, it takes a case that would otherwise have been a murder or another crime representing intentional killing, and either excuses or justifies the individual accused from all criminal liability or treats the accused differently from other intentional killers.

--- Roberto Perez greeted his wife, two sons and a brother with a big smile as they entered the death chamber

"Tell all the kids I love them and never forget," he said in a brief
final statement. "Tell everybody I love them. Stay strong. Bye-bye."

After exchanging "love you" with his relatives, he remarked, "I got
my boots on like the cowboys."

Just before slipping into unconsciousness after the lethal dose
began, Perez said he could "taste it." Seven minutes later, at 6:17
p.m., he was pronounced dead.

No friends or relatives of the victims chose to attend. ----

Hallo! Mein Name ist Roberto Perez, ein Hispanic, der in San Antonio, Texas geboren und aufgewachsen ist, und der im Texanischen Todestrakt seit 1999 ist. Ich suche nach jemandem, mit dem ich mich auf den Briefweg unterhalten kann; jemandem, der mir ein Freund sein kann und mich begleitet auf meinem Leidensweg hier drin.

Ich bin in einer Einzelzelle seit dem 23.07., darum sei Dir bewusst, dass jeder Brief mir viel bedeutet. Alle Briefe sind willkommen, ohne Rücksicht auf deine Rasse, dein Alter oder ob du männlich oder weiblich bist. Ich kann dir im Gegenzug für deine Freundlichkeit nichts außer meiner Freundschaft, das Versprechen, ehrlich zu sein, dir respektvoll gegenüber aufzutreten und ein guter Zuhörer zu sein. Ich werde in allen Lebenslagen loyal und zuversichtlich sein. Hoffentlich werden wir mit der Zeit beste Freunde.

Ich lese und schreibe gerne, bin sogar ein wenig künstlerisch tätig um mir die Zeit in meiner Zelle zu vertreiben. Einige meiner Lieblingsbücher sind: „Der Graf von Monte Cristo“ von Alexandre Dumas und „What Dreams may come“ von Richard Matheson. Ich lese auch gerne Krimis, Horrorgeschichten, Western und Autobiographien.

Ich bin eher normal gebaut, habe schwarzes Haar, braune Augen und bin 44 Jahre alt. Oh! Aber ich habe noch keine Glatze! (noch nicht). Ich habe noch all meine Haare und Zähne!

Ich hoffe inständig, dass du mir schreibst, und wenn nicht, möchte ich mich dafür bedanken, dass du dir die Zeit genommen hast, diese Anzeige zu lesen.

Wenn du schreibst.. fühle dich frei, jede Frage zu stellen. Ich verlasse dich, wie ich gekommen bin.... in FRIEDEN!
