Robert J. Campbell (
#999032 )
Texas Scheduled Execution for Robert:
05/13/2014
forwarded
from a visiter in court: (in parts)
June
27, 2017
In
the 232nd Courtroom in Harris County (Houston), the State of
Texas had to concede it should have never convicted ROBERT
CAMPBELL #999032 of Capital Murder in July 1992. Led by the
incomparable and unparalleled Mr. Rob Owen, from the
Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Robert signed for a life
sentence today and we could not be happier!!! Flanked by his
attorneys, Robert told the Court, the victim's family and the
public how sorry he is and how he prays for forgiveness
every day. We understand the hurt and loss of the victim's
family and yearn for their healing, but also we understand that,
had the broken Criminal Justice system worked correctly in 1992,
Robert would have never had a Capital case. With this new
sentencing, it is our desire to go forward, look to the future
for both Robert, his dear mother and the others. Robert's case
is a prime example of why the Death Penalty should be ABOLISHED.
It was an honor to witness history in the making and knowing
Texas has conceded once again! This is the official statement
from Robert's legal team:
"Today,
our client Robert Campbell was removed from Death Row and
re-sentenced to life imprisonment. Robert expressed his remorse
for his actions, apologized to everyone he had hurt, and said he
would continue to pray that his victims find peace. We likewise
extend our sympathy to the victims, and our appreciation to the
District Attorney's office for their decision to forego further
efforts to seek Robert's execution."

ABOLISH THE DEATH PENALTY Now
KNOCK-KNOCK, Guess who?
It's me Lil Chilly and I want to be friends with you. L.O.L. (smile)
Let me tell you a little bit about me. When I was born I came to the
world with a chip on my shoulder. For 8 weeks I kicked, screamed, and
pushed to be free of my mother’s womb. When the time finally came for
me to make my Grand arrival, I was truly upset, because my mother kept
trying to force me out, and the doctor kept pulling on me. So every time
I would like to slip out the doctor grab my head, so I would duck out
the way and move my head. The doctor done that one too many times, so I
told him hold up “ Doc” don’t
rush me I’m coming, and please don’t
grab my head again. Because you messing up my hair and rushing my Grand
appearance. When I finally came to the world, I looked at this doctor.
Then I told him to hurry up and cut this cord, because I have places to
go and people to meet, and you or this delivery room is not one of them.
Now you know I’m just joking L.O.L. I truly hope you liked my
humorous joke. I just wanted to make you smile. Because they say a smile
a day keeps the stress away. Now let me tell you a little about myself
for real. My name is Robert, but most of my friends call me Lil Chilly.
I’m the type of person who has a sense of humor, and I love to laugh
and also make other people laugh.
I’m 40 years young. I love to workout, play basketball, play chess,
and read books. That’s how I occupy my time and stay positive and
productive while I’m here on Texas Death Row. Because I am a firm
believer, you are the company you keep. I’m not out looking for love
or romance, but we don’t never know what our future holds or what God
have in stored for us. So if it’s meant to be I won’t run from it.
But right now at this moment I’m only looking for honesty, trust,
loyalty, and friendship. So if those attributes fits your character,
then I’m looking for you as friend.
Yours truly
Robert
