"The United States' concept of justifiable homicide/Executions in criminal law stands on the dividing line between an excuse, justification and an exculpation. In other words, it takes a case that would otherwise have been a murder or another crime representing intentional killing, and either excuses or justifies the individual accused from all criminal liability or treats the accused differently from other intentional killers.

Hi There!

My name is Raymond and I'm writing this in hopes of finding someone who would be interested in corresponding with me. I have learned that writing can be a very valuable form of socializing and I definitely enjoy socializing. Being hefe on Texas' Death Row is often a very boring and lonely existence. Writing with someone from the outside can break the monotony of this place. I welcome all correspondence and I promise to answer all letters. Please allow me to give you a small idea of who I am.

I'm 28 years old and I've been on Death Row since February 1997, although I've been incarcerated since November 1995. Coming to prison at that young age was a frightening experience for me. I hadn't yet learned all about the world before being thrust into a totally different one. But it was also an eye opening experience as well. lt wasn't until then that I realized how ignorant and immature I was. Also how much of a burden I was on these that cared about me and all these I had hurt. Sitting in a cold cell can make you see things from a different perspective.

I began trying to educate myself as much as possible. I saw knowledge in everything and tried to consume it all. In fact, before coming to prison I don't think I had ever read a bock from cover to cover; now I've read hundreds. I still love reading and learning new things.  I enjoy reading novels, but also non-fiction books. History of all kinds has always been a favorite subject of mine. I also enjoy all things about nature and science. Recently I've learned that philosophy and psychology are interesting subjects as well.

I also really love music. I can't imagine my live without it. Mostly I enjoy all styles of rock, but also some country, instrumental and classical. Before coming to prison I was learning to play drums and I enjoyed singing ... much to the chagrin of anyone within earshot! :-) It was always good for a laugh, I love laughing. I believe laughing is the pure sound of the soul.

lf you’re reading this and anything here sounds even remotely interesting to you, I’d like to hear from you. Mostly I'm just looking for someone who is interested in becoming a friend with someone who can really use one. I've learned that a friend is a very valuable thing and I believe a true friendship is one based in honesty, respect and loyalty. If you believe the same, please write... Thank you for your time.

Hallo!

Mein Name ist Raymond und ich schreibe in der Hoffnung, jemanden zu finden, der Interesse an einer Unterhaltung mit mir hat. Ich habe festgestellt, dass Schreiben eine wertvolle Art von sozialem Umgang sein kann und ich habe ganz sicher gerne sozialen Umgang. Hier im Todestrakt kann die Existenz oft ein sehr langweiliges und einsames Dasein darstellen. Briefwechsel mit jemandem von Draußen zu haben, kann diese Monotonie etwas lockern. Ich heiße jede Art von Unterhaltung willkommen und verspreche, alle Briefe zu beantworten. Bitte erlauben Sie mir, Ihnen eine kurze Beschreibung von mir zu geben. 
Ich bin 28 Jahre alt und seit Februar 1997 im Todestrakt, aber ich bin seit November 1995 inhaftiert. Ins Gefängnis in einem so jungen Alter zu kommen war eine beängstigende Erfahrung für mich. Ich habe noch nicht einmal alles von dieser Welt gelernt und schon wurde ich in eine andere geworfen. Aber es war auch eine Erfahrung, die mir die Augen öffnete. Erst da wurde mir bewusst, wie ignorant und unerfahren ich doch war. Auch sah ich, was ich doch für eine Last für all die war, die sich um mich sorgten und denen ich weh getan habe. In einer kalten Zelle sitzend sieht man Dinge aus einem anderen Blickwinkel.

Ich fing an, so viel wie möglich zu lernen. Ich erkannte „Wissen“ in allem und versuchte, so viel wie möglich davon aufzusaugen. Tatsächlich habe ich, bevor ich ins Gefängnis kam, nicht ein Buch von vorn bis hinten gelesen; nun habe ich hunderte gelesen. Ich liebe es immer noch zu lesen und neues zu lernen. Ich lese gerne Romane aber auch Sachbücher. Geschichte jeder Art war immer mein Lieblingsthema. Auch macht mir alles über die Natur und Wissenschaft Spaß. Erst jetzt habe ich bemerkt, dass Philosophie und Psychologie auch sehr interessante Themen sind.
Auch Musik liebe ich. Mein Leben kann ich mir ohne nicht vorstellen. Am meisten mag ich alle Arten von Rock, aber auch Country, instrumental sowie klassisch. Bevor ich ins Gefängnis kam, fing ich an mit Trommel spielen zu lernen und ich singe gerne…sehr zum Bedauern eines jeden, der in der Nähe steht! smile; Das war immer lustig, ich liebe es zu lachen. Ich glaube, dass das Lachen der wahre Klang der Seele ist.

Wenn Sie dies hier lesen und nur einiges sich annähernd interessant für Sie anhört, möchte ich gerne von Ihnen hören. Hauptsächlich suche ich jemanden, der Interesse an einer Freundschaft mit jemandem hat, der sie wirklich braucht. Ich habe festgestellt, dass ein Freund etwas kostbares ist und ich glaube, wahre Freundschaft basiert auf Ehrlichkeit, Respekt und Loyalität. Wenn Du das gleiche denkst, bitte schreibe….
