          Hi, my name is Perry E. Williams Jr. I'm 36yrs old, I’m currently on Texas "Death Row". I've been here 14 yrs. I know you probably saying "dang" I couldn't do that much time without going crazy. I also felt that way in the beginning after a few weeks passed realization sat in, I realized that this is going to be my residence for the rest of my life or until these people kill me.

But life hasn't been easy these last 14 yrs., because not only am I fighting to save my life, I'm fighting to keep my sanity in this place. A lot of people don't realize that a person can become institutionalized being locked down in a cell for 22 hours a day, your life becomes a routine, where your world is prison. I try to stay sociable and connected to the free world, so that I won’t lose my sanity.

But all of my siblings and friends have grown up, and now they have kids and are living their own lives, which I truly understand. But sometimes I ask myself, do they realize the pains and struggles I go through daily, do they realize how much a letter, pictures and visits means to a person in prison. If I had a choice of those 3 things once a month or money once a month, I would take those 3 things.

          So I’m just really looking for someone to socialize with, and becoming good friends with. So if you are interested in being friends with me, just drop me a few lines, I’ only a letter away.
